Dr. Phil Test

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been missing for a week. Been busy with the wedding preps of my sister and as well with my work. Add up to the tasks I need to do are my two canine pets who are now mopping at home since they can't walk or play outside.

For today since most of you are probably keeping to stay dry at the comfort of your humble abode, you might want to check out this test and see if the results are accurate to your personality. Don't worry, it's only 10 questions not unlike the online quizzes or personality tests that takes about 10 minutes or longer for them to be answered.

In case you're wondering who is Dr. Phil aka Phil McGraw, he is a popular psychologist in the US and a TV personality. I'm sure you have watched some of his episodes in his own television show titled Dr. Phil where he tackles on domestic violence, addictions, etc.

A little spoiler on this test, I scored 45. And it says....
I scored 45
Are you ready to find out what the test says about you? Have fun and share it with your friends or family members. Here it is.....

I chance upon Joyful Toons  once again (I found this website way back in 2008 or was it 2009 and found the cartoons entertaining so if you browse back on those years in my blog, you will see some pictures from this website which I shared for quite some time) and I can't help but smile when I saw this picture:

It reminded me of my own wedding six years ago. I've been told that in order for marriage to succeed it takes a lot of work on both parties. I couldn't agree more. With a lot of broken families and couples filing for legal separations or annulment, getting hitched is somewhat scary. It's like plunging into unknown. It can either make or break you as a couple. That's why I learned that apart from love - patience, trust, faith and acceptance are part of marriage life. As years go by your partner is never the same person you married eon years ago, right? Change is inevitable and so each of us must adapt to change. That means falling in love with your partner (husband or wife) all over again. It may not be easy at first but that's where trust and faith comes in.

To my sister who will be tying the knot this November, wedding preparations is a fun thing to do. It's like gearing up for a fairy tale act in a Broadway show. After the wedding that's when reality sinks in. Just don't forget to put God in the center of your marriage and always pray together for strength and wisdom. Prayer is a powerful tool that is often taken for granted so each of us must use it wisely. Best wishes to you and I'll see you soon.

I've been a fan of the Belle De Jour Planners since 2010. I never got to used all the coupons but I was able to share some with friends and relatives as I don't want the majority of the coupons wasted.

Last year, I was present in the BDJ Fair where I purchased four planners - for me, my sister and her soon-to-be sisters-in-law. I enjoyed the fair that's why I don't want to miss this event which is happening at the Mall of Asia Music Hall where it was held last year.  This time around I promise to document everything about the fair and of course I have to bring a reliable digital camera for some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Save the Date for the BDJ Fair 2013!
What got me really excited for this year's fair is having my name in the cover of the BDJ planner! In addition to that, I can get the BDJ Planner 2014 for only PHP 480! Squeal! Now I just need to follow the instructions given below:

So for the Bellas like me, what are you waiting for? Hurry and sign up now. Thanks to my sister for sending me this information. I'm wondering last week on when and where the BDJ Fair will commence. I got my answer now.

For more information, just click on this link BDJ Fair 2013-Make It Happen: Your Life's Masterpiece on Oct13.

You can also check out the Belle de Jour Planner website.

Ms. World 2013 is Miss Philippines!

My aunt whose currently in Papua New Guinea sent me a message in Whatsapp last night. She's watching Miss World 2013 while I'm busy posting in my Facebook account about UST team facing Dela Salle team in UAAP Basektball Finals.

Since my father and two brothers are fixated in the television last night, I can't watch the pageant proper. Luckily (or so I think) there's a live streaming available in Miss World website which I launched in my browser. Unfortunately it didn't load for 5 minutes so I closed the website and decided to hit the sack and check for news the following morning.

Surprise of surprises! Or is it expected? I got a lot of feeds from my Facebook extending congratulatory messages to Megan Young for winning the most coveted Miss World title. Prior to the coronation night, she's already making a buzz by winning the Top Model competition then she came in 5th place for the Beach Fashion tilt and came in 4th place for the Multimedia Contest. Each win in the corresponding challenges gave each candidate extra points to secure a spot in Miss World Top 10.

She definitely made her mark on the beauty pageant history of our country since she's the very first Filipina to win the title. Wow! Now I'm curious of her answer to the judge's question. This is a critical point as it could either make or break a candidate's chances of winning.

I was not disappointed with her answer when they asked “Why should you be Miss World?”.

MeganYoung answered,“I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do. I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other … as one, we can help society.”
(Read more: http://lifestyle.inquirer.net/127875/megan-young-crowned-miss-world#ixzz2gEH2pQhi).

Bravo! I can't think of a better answer for that question myself.

You made us all proud! Congratulations and we hold on to your promise of being the best Miss World ever. By the way, I love the color of your crown!

Would you be my....MOH?

I was rummaging through our laundry basket this morning when I found a paper bag that was given to be my sister last March. I knew the contents of that bag in an instant and I can't help but smile.

A personalized card from my sister. This is the first time she gave me one.

Awww...so sweet of her to make me part of her entourage. Believe it or not I was not expecting to be a part of her entourage. After all I'm married already so I know that the special role I can do for her wedding is to be her personal assistant while preparing for her big day or one of the readers/offerors on the ceremony. That's why it came as a surprise that she chose me to be her Matron of Honor.
Tokens for the entourage together with the card
The tokens that came with her card will come in handy in November for our Bohol trip. Since the bottles are in travel size, it will be easy for me to carry them during our 4D/3N stay there.

You're probably wondering what this Matron of Honor is doing for the bride. I'd say loads! With only a month and  a few days left, I have a lot to accomplish with the assigned tasks she gave me. I was thinking of filing a leave for a day or two just to make sure that I can meet the deadline. I've been in cramming state before and that was the day before my wedding, I don't want to stress myself again for the second time. I'm taking a deep breath now...tomorrow is October and I know that I'll be busy than ever in the next coming days including the backlog posts about our food tasting and the hotel tripping. Yikes! Stay tuned.

No need for me to travel far to raise my awareness concerning breast and cervical cancer. The Pink Positive Wellness Forum is coming in the South this Saturday. A big thanks of shout out to my sister for sharing this info.

I couldn't remember the last time I had my pap smear. I think it was last year of June or July. With regards to  my last breast examination, I'm guessing that it was two years ago during the annual physical examination.

I know I should be very vigilant in having my checkups. It's a no joke that many people are dying from cancer, men and women alike. I have to make an extra effort tomorrow and grab the opportunity to have myself check this Saturday since there's a clinic on the event. Sweet!

The Pink Positive Wellness Forum
Program Flow
I think every women, single, married, separated or widowed should attend this forum. It's a must that we equipped ourselves with knowledge about breast and cervical cancer and how to deal with it.

Congratulations to I Can Serve Foundation for organizing this event. Lea Salonga and Dawn Zulueta are some of the celebrities whose taking part of the foundation's advocacy to spread awareness and educate people about these deadly cancers that's affecting the lives of women across the globe.

To know more about the foundation, please do visit their website. You can check out their gift items sold online. Proceeds will help subsidize the medical care for breast cancer patients undergoing treatment. If you don't fancy anything on their goods, donation is also welcome or you can also be a volunteer.

Traditional Package (Flower Package in St. James the Great)

$

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope your enjoying the last day of the weekend. It's been awhile since my last wedding related post (specifically about my sister's wedding preparations) so I decided to tackle about flower arrangements in church.

In the Philippines, when getting married in a Catholic church you have to pay for the church fee which includes a musician (pianist) or a singer or both if you're lucky and the flowers to be used during the matrimonial ceremony. While others have a separate fee for flower arrangements just like the case in St. James the Great Parish in Ayala, Alabang.

I mentioned on my past post that St. James have an in-house florist (The Mother Butler Guild) who will provide the flower arrangements for the wedding ceremony. They have different packages to suit your taste and the price ranges from Php 15,000 to Php 35,000. Wow!

So let's do a breakdown of the flower packages that The Mother Butler Guild (St. James the Great Parish) is offering. For this post, I will feature the Traditional Package:

#1 Traditional Package (Php 15,000)
- 2 big arrangements at the altar
- 2 big arrangements at the reredo (or retablo, behind the altar where the beautiful images and the tabernacle are located)
- 6 big arrangements on pedestals along the aisle
- 2 small arrangements for the sponsor candles
- 2 pcs. sponsor candles

Flowers used: White mums, asters, and tube roses
Accessories:  white tulle
Red Carpet

Flower arrangements on pedestals along the aisle
If you're decided to have your wedding in St. James the Great but on a restricted budget, this is the cheapest flower arrangement you can avail in Mother Butler Guild. Flowers are as is and there's no option to change the flowers to be use (sorry).

On my next post, I will feature the Classic Package which is an upgrade from the Standard Package. I have to make a separate entry to the Classic Package since it is more flexible when it comes to the type of flowers to be use and the arrangement. In short, there are different variations to choose from.

Classic Package (Flower Package in St. James the Great)

Hello everyone! I'm still around, don't you worry. This post is stuck in my draft for a week now. With my sister's wedding getting closer and closer, I can feel the pressure to finish all the tasks that she assigned to me. Yes, she's OC like that. Moving on, for those who missed the Traditional Package please go to this link so you can have a comparison versus the Classic Package which I'm featuring right now.

I mentioned that the Classic Package is more flexible when it comes to the flowers and arrangement which gives the couple a right to choose from different variations. Honestly, I have no idea how many variations they have for this package but the wedding committee coordinator in Mother Butler Guild. named Lucille, gave my sister three variations she can choose from.

Let's start the comparison:

#2 Classic Package (Php 20,00)
- 2 big arrangements at the altar
- 2 big arrangements at the reredo (behind the altar where the beautiful images and the tabernacle are located)
- 8 big arrangements on pedestals along the aisle
- 20 small arrangements on the pews
- 2 small arrangements for the sponsor candles
- 2 pcs. sponsor candles

Flowers: White Malaysian Mums, Asters, tube roses, Calla Lilies
Accessories:  White tulle or sinamay mantilla, tassels
Red Carpet

The pictures below are Classic Package Design Code:  C-06 (Topiary design, all mums)

Flower Arrangements at the Altar
Flower arrangements at the reredo (behind the altar where the beautiful images and the tabernacle are located)
                                                               20 small arrangements on the pews
8 big arrangements on pedestals along the aisle

Here's another Classic package with different flowers and arrangement. The pictures of the C-01 design of the Classic Package:  crown of calla lilies on a base of mums and asters on the pedestals and calla lilies, roses and mums on the pews.

This is the package that my sister avail since it's neat, organized and we think that it's more generous when it comes to flowers. Hehehehehe.

Now, below are pictures of design C-08 of their Classic package:  a spray of calla lilies with mums and asters on the pedestals, calla lilies, roses and mums on the pews.  On this particular wedding, they used the sinamay mantilla on the pedestals and the tassels on the pews.  Previous pictures showed the white tulle accessories. Please advise your choice of accessories.

So which of the classic packages do you fancy? Judging from the codes used by Lucille for this package, there's definitely a C-02, C-03, etc.but I guess you have to ask them directly about those designs.

On my next post, will feature the package that comes after the Classic Package and that will be the Romance Package. Praying that I'll be able to post it tomorrow.

So sorry for the lack of update on my blog. It's been crazy the past few days. I was sick three days before my sister's wedding then came her wedding last Saturday, November 9. It was raining but we're glad that our relatives and the newlywed's friends are there to be part of the celebration. More on the wedding and the super delayed preps in the coming days. Then the following day which is Sunday, I have to fix our things for our trip to Bohol (which I'm really looking forward to as I needed a break). That deserves a separate posts as well (I know that you're probably rolling your eyes as I have a lot of backlog entries that I don't know where to begin so prepare for a roller coaster ride in reading my blog in the next coming days as I will just have to write an entry that comes to my mind. Hehehehehe).

After our vacation, we came back last Thursday night and I have to hit the sack as I'm tired from sitting for hours due to the traffic in Metro Manila. While on Friday I busied myself gathering all of our unused clothes that we will donate for the Typhoon Yolanda victims (Typhoon Haiyan is the international name).

The Philippines is making a buzz due to the devastation brought by the typhoon. Even I myself couldn't believe that so many lives our lost and up to now some of the corpses are still on the streets waiting to have a proper burial. Most of the survivors are fleeing Leyte and off they go to Cebu and Manila. After reading all the news, I can't help but compare that the situation in Leyte and Samar is like a scene from an apocalypse movie where everyone is fighting their way to survive.

In my next post, I'll try my best to gather all the donation relief efforts organized by various groups. If in case you don't have anything to donate, be a volunteer for a few hours and give a helping hand to those in need. I always believe in the saying that whatever you do to others will be done unto you. So keep spreading good Karma everyone :)

I've been a UNICEF champion for more than a year but sadly my monthly donation/contribution had to stopped due to my financial challenges of being the sole income maker a few years back. I believe in the advocacies and the mission of UNICEF in helping the children around the world. That's why I won't hesitate this time to simply donate what I can. I urged every Filipinos around the globe to help save the future of our children. After all our national hero believes in them that they are the hope of our mother land.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's no secret that I loved animals most especially dogs. They have a special place in my heart thus I want to call out to pet lovers like me to help and donate a little extra money that you may have to our furry friends. I bet that not all people are aware that animals also needed care and attention after the typhoon's disaster. As Cesar Milan explained, animals also experienced stress and trauma.
You can send your donations using your mobile and smartphones. Mobile phone users in over 40 countries can now directly donate using their airtime load to helpPH through BayadLoad, a mobile money service of Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) approved by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (the Philippine Central Bank) for this purpose. Sending mechanics from overseas vary depending on the mobile network operators per country.
This fund-raising program will continue until December 31, 2013 to allow mobile subscribers in over 40 countries to donate mobile airtime up to $10 a day. Fore for more information, check out their website - helpPH.
We respond fast in emergencies, and stay to help people rebuild their lives. We work on long-term projects with communities determined to shape a better future for themselves. And we campaign for genuine, lasting change."
I'm sure you've heard about this organization a countless time, Sagip Kapamilya is the emergency humanitarian assistance program of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc. They provide food and non-food relief to affected communities of disasters, as well as engage in rehabilitation and disaster risk reduction projects.
Sending love and happy vibes for today as I share the wedding SDE of my sister and brother-in-law :)
During my time SDE (same day edit) is called onsite video. The name explains for itself since the video will be shown on the exact day where the videographers will capture still videos throughout the wedding day - from preparations to church ceremony till reception.
I can't help but feel proud with this video created by Blacktie Project. Six years ago when I was preparing my wedding, this group of young and talented photographers and videographers are non-existent but now they are making some noise in the wedding industry.
My sister was lucky to won their auction last year of November from Weddingsatwork. They got the Blacktie Project service at 40% of it's original rate.To participate in the auction you must be a member of the W@W yahoogroup and an active member. It's an online support group  which is very helpful when it comes to preparing your dream wedding. Each members will share their insights, experiences and even exchange points of view about a certain topic or supplier.
Anyways, without so much explanation and nonsense talk (I hope not), may I present to you the video that I'm bragging about. Good job Blacktie Project! Everyone loves the SDE!
Spa Party @ Sissy's Nail Art and Spa
Aloha! It's December and indeed the end of the year 2013 is looming. Time flies indeed!
Let me share to you the bridal shower/spa party which I organized for my sister. She is not aware that she will be having one so she was surprised to see her tarp on the banister of the spa...
tarp care of Faith
Tarpaulin made by Faith (my sister's sister-in-law)
I started planning her bridal shower around June or July but never had a chance to be hands-on as I'm juggling my time helping my sister with her wedding preparations, my work and doing household chores. It was really stressful on my part but I'm glad that I was able to pull it off though there are a few flaws which I will enumerate later.
I decided to have a spa party in a spa/nail salon instead of getting a hotel room because I'm not sure that all of my sister's friends would like the idea of staying overnight in a hotel since majority of them are married and have kids. Second, it will double the expenses on my part and also to her friends since I asked them to contribute a portion of the expenses on the bridal shower as a gift or token.
I ended up booking in Sissy's Nail Art and Spa which is located in Molito. It's right in front of Gold's Gym Molito and if your coming from Commerce Avenue, you won't miss Gold's Gym. If you're coming from Alabang-Zapote road, you will need to take Madrigal Avenue then right turn on Commerce.
Sissy's Nail Art and Spa
Sissy's Nail Art and Spa
You're probably, wondering why a spa in Alabang? Well, majority of the guests are from the South and only a handful coming from Metro Manila/North. What's more the place is relatively new. It's clean, has a second floor and we can stay for 4 hours in the place! That's their advantage versus the other spa/nail salons I've been to. Not to mention that the price of their spa package is competitive:
The place is nice, right? I'm sure you want to know the their terms and conditions:
  • 1 week reservation
  • 50%b downpayment
  • 10 persons (choose up or down)
  • 16 persons (salon is close for 4 hours)
  • Finger foods only and no alcohol beverages
  • Additional Payment for other services
  • Additional Php 1,000 in every excess hour
They are lenient when it comes to decorating the place, you'll be given 30 minutes to decorate and setup the food. A table is provided but it's not a huge table like a dining table (see picture below). Piece of advice, bring a cooler as they don't provide drinks and they don't have a refrigerator in the spa. You will need to request for a glass of water if you want a nice cold drink. It will not be offered to you on the spot.
You have the free will to choose your nail polish.
I was not advised before hand that certain brands of nail polish have extra cost of Php 50. I remember O.P.I and Orly as the brands and most of the guests chose their lacquer from those brands. Oh well....
Clay molding game
You can held bridal shower games in the place. On our case, I had three games which are categorized for - singles, married and a pair/couple. That's why we ended up paying additional Php 1,000 for the excess hour.
You probably noticed that the throw pillows and the color of the chair/couch varies, that is because you can have the chairs customized depending on the color you wanted or motif. The photo above is the want I wanted for the chairs during the bridal shower. I informed them through a private message in Facebook and someone answered saying that it's noted but for some reason they don't have the purple/lavender throw pillow during the event! We ended up having a black and white throw pillow instead since that's the only throw pillow available for that day.
bridal shower attendees
It was fun and tiring day but I'm glad that my sister and her friends are happy
The place is still clean after we had our games that's because the staff will immediately clean up immediately any trash or litter. Now here's my concern about this spa salon:
1. I was told before by the receptionist that we have to bring our drinks because they can only offer juices. When I asked her where we will put the drinks, she told me that they have a cooler. On the day of the spa party to my dismay they don't offer juice drinks and there's no cooler/refrigerator! Had we known then we should have opted for bottled water. Good thing we brought a cooler otherwise if we didn't then we're doomed.
2. Though Php50 is a small amount, I'd appreciate it if I was informed about this little piece of information considering that I made a down payment a month before the event. Sometimes surprises are not always good.
3. My request to have the specific color of throw pillows and the cloth for the couches were not followed. I would understand if they will just put whatever color they have available on the couches if I didn't make any request, but I did. And I made the request a week prior to the event to give them time. What irks me off is that they reply to my message, giving me an assurance that my request is noted:
Exchange of PM with Sissy
4. There's a door in the ground floor of the spa that connects to Pietro's Barber Shop which I assume is a sister company of their spa. A lot of people are going in and out of that door which is distracting. I know the whole spa salon is not close specifically for our event but is it always a must that people will pass through that door as they please?
My Rating for this Spa: 3.5 out of 5
The spa is clean and new. The staff are efficient enough to keep the place tidy. The spa packages they are offering are competitive and they are lenient with the setup of the place for decors. I'm just disappointed that the things I've been told didn't materialize. I was ashamed that a guest whose pregnant was not able to drink a glass of water that we requested. My sister's sister-in-law requested for three glasses of water and the receptionist came back with only one glass of water. It will be nice if they can offer water for free. For juice drinks or iced tea, it will be a great idea to include them in their spa party packages.
Will I be coming back here again? Yes but as a regular/common customer. I'll probably try another salon for a spa party that is within the area. I can still consider them though but I will be more prepared and remind the staff/receptionist of the spa salon of my request(s) as often as I can. It seems that we have a misunderstanding or a lack of communication? This is another lesson learned.
I won a Free Round-Trip Ticket from Air Asia Zest
Isn't obvious that I'm so excited and giddy that I have to shout it out what I won? I almost forgot that I entered a contest in one of the blogs I've been following. I enjoyed reading her blog as it gives out a useful information about travel and shopping finds. She's my ultimate source for the decorative tapes that I've been impulsively buying every time I visit 168 Mall in Divisoria. I'm glad that I visited her website before I doze off but it seems that my adrenaline is high now when I saw this post on her blog...
i won the raffle!
This is the best Christmas gift that I received this year! Thanks Bright Spot for picking me as your winner. Of course, a big thanks to Air Asia Zest for teaming up with Bright Spot for this blog giveaway.
I even pinched myself a few times just to check that I'm not dreaming. This is definitely real and I'm feeling surreal! God answered my prayer to have a travel/trip in 2014!
I'd be so happy to meet you in person Leah (the brain behind Bright Spot). Looking forward to read more of your blog posts and future giveaways!
Romance Package (Flower Package in St. James The Great)
I apologize if this post was late but I still hope that future brides of St.James Parish in Ayala will find this helpful. This is a far cry from the Traditional Package and an upgrade from the Classic Package. Without further ado, here's the Romance Package for the flower arrangement.
#3 Romance Package (Php 25,000)
2 big arrangements at the altar
2 big arrangements at the reredo (behind the altar where the beautiful images and the tabernacle are located)
8 big arrangements on pedestals along the aisle
20 small arrangements on the pews
2 small arrangements for the sponsor candles
2 pcs. sponsor candles
Ms. Lucille gave us the pictures for the design code R-10 which is the all-asters design exclusive to this package only.
This arrangement reminds me of a garden wedding
The flowers are adorable...too bad you can't bring these flowers to the reception
Whoa! I can imagine an arc made of asters right in the center together with the tall vases.
Since these are the only photos that was given to us, I have no comparison on what other flowers or arrangement they are offering for this package. You can always send an email and inquire or requests for pictures in case you don't find this style appealing to your taste.
Jessy Mendiola Surprises Lucky Guys
I bet you've watched the viral video of Jeric Teng and Jessy Mendiola where the basketball star of UST Growling Tigers got the surprise of his life in McDonald's Eton Centris branch. The dude's reaction was priceless considering Jeric is a celebrity himself.
Well, Jessy Mendiola aka Maria Mercedes strikes again! And on the same branch! What if your one of these lucky guys? How would you react?
I on the other hand will be speechless, starstruck and unable to move since that's my reaction when I saw Donita Rose in person when she casually walks in Jollibee Emerald Avenue branch just to order a medium sized iced tea. That was eight years ago though but still if Jessy is that pretty and hot in television what more in person.
Now you know where to eat your favorite McDonalds meal next time (wink!)
The District Dasmariñas
Happy Monday everyone! Surprisingly it's a little humid for the day despite that it's December. While people are freezing on the other side of the world, I'm sweating away while creating this post. Climate change is getting scarier as time passes by.
Anyways, some of you might have read the post I created last January about the firstAyala Mall in Cavite province which is The District Imus. Well now, they have another store opened and this time it's for the people of Dasmariñas. It formally opened last November 22 but I only get to drop by last December 2. It's along Paliparan road and you will never miss it if you're coming from Daang Hari-Molino as you will see first on your left the Ayala Settings subdivision then right after is the District Dasmariñas (you will need to take a jeepney going to Paliparan). If you're coming from Paliparan, you will see Dasmariñas Cavite on your right (you can take a jeepney going to Baclaran, Zapote or SM Southmall).
The District Dasmarinas
The District Dasmariñas
Compared to The District Imus, this mall is a little smaller. There's no grocery around the area unlike in District Imus where right next to it sits Metro Department Store and Supermarket. Let's hope that next year they will improve the place and expand it. I would want to have an Ayala cinema near our area. You heard me right, District Dasmariñas is much nearer to my residence than the one in Imus (I only need to take one jeepney ride and pay the minimum fare).
Directory
Directory of the Mall
This is the first part of the directory. The other part is on the back of this directory and I wasn't able to take a picture as I'm afraid that the guard will scold me (see the lady guard looking at me and wondering what the heck I'm doing).
District Dasma Hall
The Open Hall
From the name itself it's the hall of the mall and it's open. It's not enclosed in an aircondition environment which is same as the Music Hall of SM MOA but of course, this one is smaller. During this time that I made a visit of the mall, there was an ongoing exhibit about the city of Dasmariñas. The picture and names of the mayors who took over the city were on display. Yesterday, Dasmariñas Bayan celebrated the feast of Immaculate Concepcion.
District Dasma Garden
The Garden
This is my favorite part of the mall as it's relaxing as you look on the path walk and the greenery of the grass with various plants spread on the garden. In the spirit of Christmas, they pit up Christmas lights in the artificial trees. I bet this area looks awesome at night.
Let's see some of the shops/stores inside this mall. Shall we?
Kenko World
This is the first time I heard about this shop. Either I'm outdated or this is actually a new shop to watch out for. I didn't go inside but it seems they're offering knick knacks for home.
Expressions
Expressions
Finally an Expressions branch near me! Immediately I went inside and of course, got myself five decorative tapes that I will add to my growing collection. I will make a post about Expressions this month and the other things that you can do with decorative tapes.
Wendys! Finally!
It's the best time for Wendy's!
Yey! Now I can eat my favorite Bacon Mushroom Melt or Bacon Cheeseburger plus Frosty without going to Alabang. I should ask my husband next time to go with me here so we can satisfy our tummies here and burn calories in.....
Timezone
Timezone! Daytona here I come!
It's been a long time since I played in arcade. During my early 20s whenever me and my husband will date, we don't miss a chance visiting Timezone. Either it's me playing in Daytona race or him playing Tekken.
The District Dasmarinas Concierge
Concierge
If you have any questions about the shops or stores in the mall, you can check out their concierge located at the second floor. You need to go inside the air conditioned part of the mall though which I know you'd be glad to do especially if comes summer time.
Let's see what stores are operating and which are soon to open:
Shops
Stores
Food
Notice that majority of the stores are already open so those who are waiting for the other stores, be patient. I'm sure by the first quarter of 2014, all of them will welcome their customers in their respective spots of the mall.
Thank you to Ayala company for bringing another mall in Cavite.
It was shared early this year by one of the members of our yahoogroups. This website offers affordable educational materials for kids online. Most of the items are sold for a cheaper price and sometimes like today, you will see some free activity ebooks that you can download.
Though I don't have kids of my own, I started collecting some of the freebies and I was thinking that I can use them as a gift for my godchildren. I can just print the activity ebooks/coloring books and compile them. It's a cheaper alternative for buying books and coloring books in a bookstore. More importantly, I was able to help the kids learn while having fun. I bet that the parents of my godchildren will be happy about my DIY gift.
Some of the free materials that you can download for a limited time offer:
Snowman Math
These I Spy: Shapes Brain Breaks are a great tool to get your students up and moving around the room. They also serve as a great quick assessment and review of skills: Can your students apply what they have learned by finding real objects around the room that match the skill?
SRPs for Noche Buena Products as per DTI
This information will be helpful for moms who are budgeting their money in preparation for the Noche Buena. Some of you might chance upon this entry and probably wondering what Noche Buena is. Well, Noche Buena is the night before the Christmas eve where there is a traditional dinner with the family. This practice is observed in Latin America, Spain and the Philippines.
During December, a lot of products being sold in the market and groceries used for the traditional dinner tend to increase their prices. After all these products whether expensive or not are still in demand and people will still want them to celebrate the Christmas tradition.
To give awareness to the consumers, DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) released a list of the Noche Buena products together with the suggested retail prices. I just hope that store owners and grocery shops will follow the figures.
You can go directly to the link posted above to view the enlarged list.
